Diaper Covers

When I first got pregnant, Tim and I decided to use cloth diapers for Josh. We'll probably pick up a pack of disposables for the hospital, and then start using a service for the first few months, just to get the hang of it. Then, if we feel up to it, we will purchase our own diapers and wash them ourselves. We may not cloth diaper him 100% of the time (it will probably be a hassle on vacation), but we want to try as much as we can.

The services here only provide Chinese Prefolds (flat diapers that are more absorbant in the middle), and we need to have covers to go over them, so today, we went to Diaper-Eez in Bloor West Village to pick up some accessories.

We got 4 diaper covers, and 2 snappis (that will go over the prefold). I'm so excited to see Josh in them! Here's a pic of one of the covers we got.

ah. bummis is the best. especially the whisper wraps (i think that's what they're called). and after spending way too much on fitted cloth diapers, i found that prefolds in bummis wraps are the easiest way to go -- they wash easier, dry faster. :) congratulations on your baby-on-the-way!
